We Believe in Water Baptism

We affirm the necessity of water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, accompanied by receiving the power of the Holy Ghost.​

• Scripture References:

  • "Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." (Acts 2:38)

  • "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you." (Acts 1:8)

  • "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." (Acts 4:12)

  • "When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus." (Acts 19:5)

We believe this must be followed by a life of sanctification and holiness.

We Believe in Sanctification as a Work of Grace

Sanctification begins at regeneration through the application of the blood of Jesus Christ.​

  • "Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which He hath purchased with His own blood." (Acts 20:28)

We Believe in Godly Living

Godly living should characterize the life and walk of all saints in Christ Jesus.​

  • "For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you.
